Massive Ego gründete sich 1996. Marc Massive, Ex-Model und Tänzer von Boy George’s 90er Jahre Band „Jesus Loves You“, DJ und Kunst Event Mitveranstalter ist seit Beginn Frontmann der Band.
Die Band befand sich ursprünglich im Zentrum der kurz wieder auflebenden Londoner New Romantic Szene namens „ Romo“ welche in einem halbseiten Live Bericht des britischen Musikmagazines Melody Maker des Journalisten Simon Price, erwähnt wurde.

Massive Ego formed in 1996. Marc ex model and dancer for Boy George’s 90’s Jesus Loves You band, DJ and art event curator has fronted the band from the beginning. The band were originally at the centre of the short lived new romantic revival scene in London called ‘Romo‘ which culminated in a glowing half page live review by journalist Simon Price in UK music mag Melody Maker.

Über die Jahre wechselten die Mitglieder der Band,in denen Massive Ego quer durch Großbritannien spielten, in Clubs und Festivalen darunter Shows bei den ultimativen Festivals im Londoner Finsbury Park und am Trafalgar Square, sowie in Europa. Massive Ego produzierten mehrere Singles und Alben, veröffentlicht wurden sie in Großbritannien bei den Labeln ( Klone/ Puplic Disordar Recs) in Deutschland bei (ZYX), sowie in den USA (Ninthwave Recs), Belgien ( Black Leather Recs), Japan ( Avex Trax) und Australien ( Pro-DJ). Massive Ego Lieder wurden auf weit über 40 Compilation-Alben der zuvor erwähnten Labels vorgestellt.	Over the years, with many line-up changes Massive Ego have played the length and breadth of the UK at clubs and festivals including shows at London’s Finsbury Park and Trafalgar Square and in Europe. The band has seen several single and album releases in the UK (Klone / Public Disordar Recs) Germany (ZYX) as well as releases in the USA (Ninthwave Recs), Belgium (Black Leather Recs), Japan (Avex Trax) and Australia (Pro-DJ). Massive Ego tracks have featured on well over 40 compilation albums from the labels above.

Ursprünglich war die Band für ihren New Wave Pop Sound bekannt. All das änderte sich 2013 als Marc Massive sich für die dünklere Ebm/ Dark Wave/Industrial/ Gothic Szene zu interessieren begann. Ab diesem Zeitpunkt reflektierte sich die Veränderung im neuen Material der Band. Zu Beginn des Jahres 2013 beteiligte sich Marc mit Lyrics und Gesang bei einem Song namens „ Dead Silence“ von Lia Organa & Electric Prince, diesen veröffentlichte das belgische Label Black Leather gemeinsam mit einem Video das vom Polnischen Filmproduzenten und Künstler Suka Off und einem Remixpackage von The Horrorist und People Theatre veröffentlicht wurde. Daraufhin erschien die EP „Low Life“ mit Empire State Human.	Originally known for their new wave pop sound, all that changed in 2013 when Marc Massive became more interested in the darker Ebm/Dark Wave/Industrial/ Goth scene and from this point all new material reflected this change. Early 2013 saw Marc supply lyrics and vocals on a track called Dead Silence by Lia Organa & Electric Prince and was released through Belgian label Black Leather Records with a brilliant video by Polish film makers/artists Suka Off and a remix package including The Horrorist and People Theatre. This single was followed up by the Low Life EP with Empire State Human.

Im Jahr 2014 begann die Arbeit an einer neuen EP namens „Noise in the Machine“, gemeinsam mit dem Produzenten Lloyd Price der sich an dessen Produktion beteiligte. Nach Fertigstellung des Songs sicherte sich Marc einen Remix von Daniel Graves ( Aesthetic Perfection) und schickte die EP an verschiedene Label. 2015 unterschrieb die Band bei dem Deutschen Label Out of Line Music. Die Band bestand zu dem Zeitpunkt aus Marc Massive, Oliver Frost, Lloyd Price & Scot Collins. Der Haupttitel der EP erschien auf der erfolgreichen Electrostorm Compilation Vol.6. Die EP erhielt großartige Reviews des Side Line Magazines, Brutal Resonance und auf Storming the Base Webseiten. Die EP landete in der Deutschen Alternative Charts ( DAC) auf Platz 10 & in der Deutschen Elektronischen Welt Charts ( GEWC) auf Platz 13. Der neue Song „ Out of Line“ erschien auf der Electronic Saviers Vol.4 über Metropolis Recs.	2014 and work started on a new EP called Noise In The Machine, with producer Lloyd Price involved in production. With the track’s completed Marc secured a remix from Daniel Graves (Aesthetic Perfection) and sent the EP off to labels. The band signed to Out Of Line Music in Germany in 2015. The line-up now complete with Marc joined by Oliver Frost, Lloyd Price & Scot Collins. Lead song I Idolize You also featuring on the successful Electrostorm compilation Vol 6. The EP had great reviews from the likes of Side-Line Magazine, Brutal Resonance and Storming The Base websites. The EP entered the Deutsche Alternative Chart (DAC) at #10 & German Electronic World Chart (GEWC) at #13. A new track ‘Out Of Line’ featured on Electronic Saviors Vol 4 via Metropolis Recs.

2016 feierte die Band ihr 20 Jähriges Jubiläum mit Live Auftritten am Infest in Großbritannien, sie spielten als Supportband für Blutengel an ihrem 1. Open Air Konzert in Chemniz und spielten beim Out of Line Weekender in Berlin und remixten Songs für Blutengel, Ost + Front sowie CHROM. 2017 veröffentlichten sie ihr erstes Album unter dem Label OOL, eine Doppel CD namens „ Beautiful Suicide“ Mit diesem gingen sie auf Tour als Supportband von Blutengel bei ihrer Leitbild Tour. Spielten am Wave Gothic Treffen in Leipzig und am Amphi Festival in Köln. 2018 ging es im selben Tempo weiter mit Liveshows in London, bei einem Gothicfestival im Norden Englands und am Mera Luna Festival. In diesem Jahr verliess Lloyd die Band um sich besser auf seine Solokariere konzentrieren zu können.	2016 they celebrated their 20th anniversary with live dates at Infest UK, supported Blutengel at Das Open Air Concert in Chemnitz and Out Of Line Weekender in Berlin. The band also remixed Blutengel, OST+Front, and CHROM. 2017 and the band released their first album for OOL a double CD entitled Beautiful Suicide. They took the album on tour supporting Blutengel on their Leitbild Tour, performed at Wave Gothic Treffen & Amphi Festivals. 2018 continued at pace with live shows including M’era Luna, as the band become a 3 piece with Lloyd leaving to concentrate on solo endeavours.

2019 In diesem Jahr veröffentlichen Massive Ego ihr Brandneues Doppel CD Album „Church for the Malfuntioned“ mit Gaststimmen von Chris L. ( Agonoize/ Funker Vogt/ The Sexorcist) und der Britischen Band Auger dessen Sänger Kyle auch als Co-Produzent des neuen Albums mitwirkte. Das Album beinhaltet eine Cover Version von AND ONE’s Hit „Military Fashion Show“. Die Bonus CD enthält Remixes von Agonoize, Solar Fake, Blutengel, Ost+Front & The Horrorist. Das Album wird am 26.04.2019 veröffentlicht welches mit der neuen Supporttour für die kommende UN:Gott Tour von Blutengel in München zusammenfällt. Vorrausgehend erscheint die erste Single des Albums „ Digital Heroin“ veröffentlicht am 12.04. Live Festival Termine umfassen das Hexentanz, Amphi und Schattenweltfestival in Wien ( Österreich)

2019 and bang up to date the band release their brand new album Church For The Malfunctioned, featuring guest vocals from the likes of Chris L (Agonoize/ Funker Vogt) and UK band Auger, whose singer Kyle also co-produced the new album. The album also features a cover version of And One’s classic hit ‘Military Fashion Show’. The bonus CD features remixes from the likes of Agonoize, Solar Fake, Blutengel, OST+Front & The Horrorist. The album is launched on 26 April which coincides with the bands support once again for the current Blutengel UN:Gott tour with a show in Munich. And preceded by the first single from the album ‘Digital Heroin’ released 12 April. Live 2019 festival dates to include Hexentanz, Amphi, and Schattenwelt in Austria
